Gita Anand
(she/her)Recognized by Lexpert® and Chambers Global® as one of Canada’s leading employment and labour lawyers, and workplace investigators, Gita has more than 30 years experience in adjudication, labour relations, employment law and human rights. Prior to joining Sherrard Kuzz LLP, Gita practiced at a national law firm, and spent several years as a Vice-Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. She is a Fellow of the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and called to the Bars of Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Gita’s sophisticated expertise includes the full range of employment and labour law, with particular focus on workplace investigations, cultural assessments, human rights and accommodation, attendance and disability management, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, and management training. She has presented and lectured at professional development and university courses and authored topical articles for academic journals and industry publications.
Gita is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association (Labour & Employment Law), South Asian Bar Association (Toronto Chapter), Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, Association of Workplace Investigators, and College of Labour & Employment Lawyers.
She is President of the Board of Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke and a Member of the Board of Governors of Mount Allison University.
