Angela Powell

Angela is a dynamic leader in workplace safety and insurance with more than 20 years’ experience in both private practice and the highest levels of government and policy making. Angela leads our firm’s workplace safety and insurance practice.

Angela joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP after 12 years serving the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (“WSIB”) as Chief Legal Officer and before that as Vice President – Policy and Consultation Services, Vice President – Strategy and Enterprise Project Management Office, and as Director of the WSIB’s Operational Policy Branch and Business Transformation Office.

Prior to the WSIB, Angela held a number of leadership positions at eHealth Ontario; the Ontario Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.  She was a Senior Policy Advisor to the Ontario Minister of Labour, and a practicing labour and employment lawyer.
