Matt Aydin

Matt joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student in 2024 and returns for his second summer in 2025. He is a juris doctor candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he is an executive member of the Osgoode Labour and Employment Law Society and an eager mooter. In his second year of law school, Matt represented his law school at the National Labour Arbitration Competition, volunteered at The 519’s Health Justice Hub, and edited Osgoode’s Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal.

Prior to law school, Matt completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from University of Toronto in Contemporary Asian Studies at the Munk School, where he graduated with the highest academic standing in the program. During his time at the Munk School, Matt received multiple scholarships to travel abroad and conduct research on migrant workers in Singapore. He also had the privilege of representing the Hart House Debating Club at numerous international competitions and is a Canadian national debating champion.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys competing on various recreational volleyball teams, cycling, and maintaining an active Beli account to track his favourite restaurants. He also operates a debate coaching charity, Buildcase. Matt is bilingual – English/Turkish.
