Johanna Desjardins

Students

Johanna joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student in 2024 and returns for her second summer in 2025. She is a juris doctor candidate at Queen’s University where she is Co-Chair of the Lawlapalooza Committee, Junior Editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal, VP Socials for Queen’s Law First Generation Network, Co-Vice President of Queen’s Labour and Employment Club, Vice President of Queen’s Law Music Club, and upper-year tutor to four students.

Following her first year of law school, Johanna received Queen’s Senator Frank Carrel Scholarship, awarded to a Quebec-based student who has achieved excellence in the law school.

Prior to law school, Johanna completed an Honours Political Science degree with a minor in environment where she graduated with first-class honours and distinction. She was a highly involved participant in the student community and completed an internship in communications during her final year of study.

In her spare time, Johanna practices for performances with her pop-punk/ska band where she is the main singer. Johanna is bilingual – English/French.
