Students

Ella joined Sherrard Kuzz LLP as a first-year summer student in 2024 and returns for her second summer in 2025. She is a Juris Doctor (“JD”) candidate at Queen’s University where she is Co-President of the Queen’s Law Tortfeasors Rugby Club, Co-Vice President of Queen’s Labour and Employment Club, the JD student representative on the Faculty Appointment Committee,  and an oralist in the National Labour Arbitration Moot. Following her first year of law school Ella was awarded the Law ’65 Award, established by the Class of Law 1965, and given to a first-year law student on the basis of academic achievement and participation in Faculty and University governance, student government, athletics, other extracurricular activities and participation in community projects both legal and non-legal.

Prior to law school, Ella graduated from Huron University College at Western University where she completed an honours degree in Political Science and Governance, Leadership, and Ethics. While at Western, Ella was a member of the varsity women’s rugby team and president of the Huron Political Science Association.

In her free time, Ella enjoys cooking, travelling, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
