When the process of collective bargaining does not conclude with a negotiated agreement between management and the union, we have extensive experience assisting management prepare for, and participate in, the process of “interest arbitration”.  This includes:

  • Sourcing and assessing recent collective agreements and interest arbitration decisions within the same or a related sector, including agreements recently signed by the trade union with which our client is dealing
  • Sourcing economic information
  • Predicting trade union strategy
  • Analyzing the impact of collective agreement language on future plans
  • Establishing strategy to achieve desired outcomes
  • Representing management before the arbitrator
